Life has a way of throwing nice things at you, so a couple of months ago, while I was still hobbling about with a stick, Gloria and I were on our way for a coffee at 'the Bicycle shop' on Norwich's Pottergate, and my new found (short lived) leisure time meant we had time for a trip in to St Giles, a haven for up and coming artists, I know we saw a variety of varied and interesting work, some under priced, some that made me go hmmm. My abiding memory of that visit was meeting Ryan Lewis, acting as volunteer gatekeeper or some such, it was our conversation with Ryan that stuck in my head longer than the work we saw.
Studying philosophy is what I believe he said he was doing, in Germany and Scotland (find out more when we publish his interview) while in Norwich he seems to be involved in community works such as St gregory's and The Norwich Dragon festival. Add to this hi publishing of a refreshingly thought provoking magazine (Grund) and Painting some colourful abstracts and such, you quickly see he is a bundle of energy.
Find out more if you are free by coming to the Tea Lounge on st Valentines day, or later, or come back here to read and watch more about him. Definitely one to watch.
